Syriatel Launches Roaming on air Flights

Shortly after having launched the international mobile calls through air travel, Syriatel is proud to announce that is is launching an international mobile service on aboard ships thanks to its conclusion of an arrangement with a Norweigian maritime company CellAtSea. Syriatel is considered to be the first network in Syria, and among the first in the Arab world that offer such a service.

For postpaid lines subscribers it provides the possibility to use their mobiles, give and receive calls as well as send messages aboard all ships and maritime companies that ensures such service including Mano Maritime, P&O cruise, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines and Urtigruten group. Hence, by launching the service at sea it proved to be a company capable of facing the challenges in order to enable its subscribers to communicate worldwide at any time, on land, sea and air.
