MTN Sudan launches Mazazik service

MTN Sudan launched on 23rd of May 2007 the Mazazik service, the ring back tone service that allow MTN subscribers to replace the traditional ring tone heard by the caller with a personalized song, music and many other varieties that can be played to callers or specific groups of callers.

Fadi Agha, Chief Commercial Officer, MTN commented: “MTN is the first operator in Sudan to introduce Ring Back Tones. It is our clear strategy to offer our subscribers the opportunity to do more with their phones than just normal voice calls. With Ring Back Tones our customers can personalize or “color” their mobile phone subscription according to their taste, we remain committed to launch innovative services that cater for our subscriber’s needs and Sudanese market”.

The Ring Back Tone service can be used by all MTN subscribers in Sudan. Subscription to the service can be done by calling the short code number 777 and follow the instructions. A downloaded ring back tone is valid for 3 months.

Mohamad Ibrahim, Marketing Products and Services Manager says: “Our state of the art network provides us with a lot of opportunities for introducing new services. Important for us is that new services must be easy to use. Our Ring Back Tones are easy to subscribe to and can be used by all types of mobile phones. The Ring Back Tones will be heard by all callers from mobiles and from landlines”.
