MTC touch launches a new Postpaid to Prepaid Recharge service

mtc touch, the leading mobile telecommunications operator in Lebanon and Zain affiliate, has launched a new “Postpaid to Prepaid Recharge” service. By sending a SMS from a postpaid line, customers have an option to add 10, 20 or 30 day validity to a prepaid magic line. The SMS does not incur any additional cost except the value of the transferred credit.
 
“This new service will appeal to many, especially parents who will find this option very practical and beneficial,” said Mr Jad Kai, mtc touch Marketing Director. “They can recharge their children’s lines in an easy and fast way, allowing them to stay in touch around the clock. More importantly, parents can better manage and control the monthly usage and the amount of transferred credits to each “magic” line.”
 
When using the service, the postpaid customer sends an SMS to the short code 1166 including the 8 digit mobile number of the “magic” line holder followed by the letter R and the amount of days to be transferred, in other words 10 for a ten day card, 20 for a twenty day card and 30 for a thirty day card. For example, one can send 03XXXXXXR10 or 70XXXXXXR10 or 71XXXXXXR10, replacing the number 10 with 20 or 30 accordingly.

Postpaid customers can only use it twice on ten day cards and once on 20 and 30-day cards per month. In addition, both the sender and the receiver will get an SMS confirming the success or failure of the transaction.
 
The new “Postpaid to Prepaid Recharge” service is available for all “touch” customers in Lebanon, noting that it stops working by default when a postpaid customer is roaming. The amounts transferred will be added to their monthly statement.
