Mobilk - In addition to showcasing assistive technologies, the Mada team will run a series of hands on sessions which will be made available to QITCOM 2012 visitors, free of charge. Assistive technology specialists will conduct workshops on a variety of topics including technologies for the blind, apps for learning disabilities, and access to mobile devices. The sessions will be conducted in Arabic and English, and will take place within the Mada interactive booth and will enable end users and IT professionals to have a first-hand look at the latest assistive technologies and get advice on how they can be integrated into different environments.
This year, Mada will also offer expert consultancy on e-accessibility to organizations that are interested in making their ICT platforms more inclusive. For three days, Mada’s Senior e-Accessibility Specialist will be holding consultation sessions with Chief Technical Officers, web designers and IT developers on ways in which to ensure that their respective platforms are built according to international accessibility guidelines. All consultancy sessions will be offered free of charge, and will take place within Mada’s interactive booth.
