Mobilk - Huawei, a leading global ICT solutions provider, held a Huawei Certified Internetwork Expert (HCIE) panel discussion and an award ceremony highlighting the importance of Huawei’s HCIE. Huawei has also awarded Visiontech, one of the company’s regional channel partners, as it became the first company to complete the HCIE certification.
The HCIE certification ultimately acknowledges the skills of an ICT engineer to construct, optimize, and manage complex large and medium-sized enterprise networks. The program was unveiled last year and has seen increased traction in the Middle East in 2015 as the certification no longer needs to be taken in Huawei’s home market of China and is now available locally for regional partners. The certification has been introduced under the supervision of the company’s HCIE Lab Center in the UAE.
Recognized within the partner community as a significant achievement of training excellence, the HCIE is the highest level of technical certification offered by Huawei. Earning the HCIE certification is an opportunity for channel partners to certify their service qualifications and capabilities. This in turn enables them to build stringer end-user trust and loyalty by offering a highly qualified team to support on their implementations.
Eric Dai, Vice President Service, Enterprise Business Group, Huawei Middle East said: “Huawei’s certification of regional channel partners is extremely important to the company. This being the first HCIE certification for a channel partner in the Middle East makes it a particularly important milestone for our enterprise business group. It bears testimony to the fact Visiontech is held in the highest regard by Huawei, and our commitment to bringing the value of innovation to more customers across the region.”
Enterprise CIOs responsible for implementing the latest ICT services within their businesses have started to explore emerging technologies such as Software-Defined Services (Agile Networking), Convergence & Cloud, Mobility and Big Data solutions that can impact bottom line. Noticing this peak in interest, Huawei has revised its channel strategy in 2015 to ensure its partners across the Middle East are equipped with the knowledge necessary to showcase how these solutions can offer greater flexibility, drive efficiency and reduce CAPEX and OPEX for businesses.
Huawei’s renewed channel strategy comes as research and advisory firm IDC predicts spending on ICT products and services in the Middle East & Africa to reach USD$270 billion in 2015, making this the second fastest growing IT market worldwide.
Reaffirming its commitment to the regional ICT channel, Huawei planned earlier this year to build on the strength of its channel partner network in the Middle East by extending the availability of its specialized training and technical knowledge programs while empowering its enterprise partners to identify new opportunities for growth in the coming years. Huawei works closely with distributors and value-added resellers to deliver the best products and solutions to customers and ensure ongoing support throughout the customer engagement lifecycle.
