VIVA Bahrain launched earlier this week a family of three new smartphone plans, namely Smart 20, Smart 25 and Smart 30, designed to offer users the greatest flexibility and value for money when acquiring a new smart device. Postpaid customers now have the choice between acquiring the postpaid 10 and 20 plans without a device, or choosing one of the new Smart plans to go with a BlackBerry or Android device of their choosing.
The plans include varying credit bundles of free minutes and data. Several new BlackBerry and Android devices are available to purchase with the Smart plans, including the BlackBerry 9900, 9790, Samsung Galaxy Note, Huawei Honor, and the Galaxy Nexus, a highly anticipated device which VIVA is releasing for the first time in Bahrain.
Most of the devices can be obtained for free with various Smart packages. The Galaxy Note and BlackBerry 9900 can be obtained for a very attractive upfront fee of BD 39 and BD19 respectively. The BlackBerry 9790, affectionately known as the ‘Baby Bold’, is available for free with 650 bundled minutes and unlimited BlackBerry service on the Smart 30 plan.
“The last few years have witnessed a rapid increase in the popularity of smartphones, and we expect this trend to continue as newer and better priced devices hit the market,” commented Andrew Hanna, VIVA CCO. “It is important that we cater to our customers’ interests, and continue to find innovative ways of serving them. We believe this new range of packages will suit all needs and budgets.”
