STC Group introduces 4G services throughout the region

The CEO of STC Group Eng. Saud bin Majed Al-Daweesh has asserted that STC Group has, with great success, completed launching of the 4G services or LTE throughout the regions countries in which it is functioning.

 

It kept coming ahead in the industry, regionally speaking, by launching the services in the Kingdom, Kuwait as well as Bahrain. STC Group, thus, is the first firm in the MENA to initiate deploying such this generation in 3 countries, in the region.

 

Al-Daweesh pointed to the keenness of STC Group to develop the techniques of its networks in the 10 countries, it works among, for the time being, and which is covered, now, by its networks. To achieve these goals, STC is employing the best of highly qualified human experts backed by their technical supremacy, to provide clients with world-class sophisticated technologies. To the credit of STC Group, an official confirmation made by the GSMA, the global organization for mobile systems, as the first operator in the region to launch G4 service, or 4G LTE, throughout MENA, exactly, on 09/12/2011, then other operators follow STC Group, suit.

 

Its noteworthy, that STC Group has adopted G4, early 2010, and announced the tests it made a success, terming 4G as the Choice of a new forthcoming Epoch in mobile phone system. This technology based on expanding the capacity and efficiency of the network, consequently impact the rapidity of virtual transfer up to a speed of 100Mbps, in case of data receiving. LTE allow operators to provide fixed services on the mobile network and to merge between, both, the fixed and mobile services. STC Group began launching the service in 11 cities across the Kingdom, through more than 600 venues in the last quarter of the previous year, 2011.
