Mobily launched a new promotion on Saturday for new and port-in subscribers.
The promotion, which includes postpaid packages Khatti, Khatti Plus, Mada and Najma, grants new and port-in subscribers three hours of talk time everyday for three months.
Subscribers are charged for the first 10 minutes of talk time to other Mobily numbers according to normal rates, which range from 20 to 30 halalas per minute, depending on the package. After the first 10 minutes of talk time are consumed, the next three hours of talk time during the day are free.
Subscribers do not have to use up the first 10 minutes all at once. Rather, they can make several calls, the cumulative times of which amount to 10 minutes, in order to take advantage of the free hours.
If a subscriber exceeds the three hours of talk time, the extra time will be charged according to normal rates, again depending on the package. Subscribers can switch packages and still take advantage of the promotion. “It’s things like these that make Mobily special,” said David Murphy, Chief Marketing Officer at Mobily. “We always have new value added offers in store for our subscribers to keep them in touch at all times, and that’s what makes us special. We are keen to present them with promotions that speak to their aspirations, with clear terms and conditions that comply with CTIC’s regulations, and doing away with all the fine print.”
Mobily had launched a number of promotions that came in response to the dire situation in Palestine. The company halved its calling rates to Palestine for both pre- and postpaid subscribers, so as to keep them in touch with their brethren in Gaza.
