The Qtel Group concludes Forum for the CEOs

The Qtel Group, a diversified telecommunications provider with presence in 17 countries and serving over 67 million subscribers, recently concluded its 2010 CEO Forum.. The Forum brought together the CEOs from 14 companies across the MENA, Asian subcontinent and Southeast Asia regions.

 

The meeting provided an unparalleled opportunity to converge on strategy and to promote operational excellence and synergies within the Group. The latest developments and trends within the industry and to share knowledge and expertise amongst industry veterans were also discussed as part of the Forum.

The CEO Forum hosted a series of presentations including one on recent developments impacting operators and customers. Other sessions facilitated by Qtel International senior management focused on the Group’s engagement processes and synergies, overall strategy and planning for the road ahead.

 

The attending CEOs agreed on the importance and value of the Forum as a platform to leverage the expertise of the executives within the Group and share knowledge. In fact some CEOs went back with some good ideas that they felt they can apply in their own markets.

 

Moreover, a common theme emerged from the sessions: that innovation and technology should be strategically utilized to ‘enhance customer experience by ensuring the right services are offered to meet the customers’ needs. Innovation is not just about the technology, as it (technology) is available to everyone and can be easily copied. But it is more about applying innovation to the brand, the people and the processes which are the three main elements that will make the difference in our industry, moving forward.
