Mobilk - Celebrating its latest milestone as data experience leaders and coinciding with the Sultanate’s 50th National Day, Ooredoo’s state-of-the-art Data Centre in Boushar has reached its next stage of completion. Ready for equipment installation, testing and commissioning, it marks a major breakthrough in the project, which, despite the challenges presented by COVID-19, has been achieved in a record eight months. Once completed, the modern infrastructure will be able to manage the requirements of the rapidly growing demands for local hosts and digital data processing in Oman.
Ahmed Abdullah Al Abri, Chief Technology and Information Officer at Ooredoo, said, “We strive to meet the needs of our customers and support Oman on its digital transformation journey. This ultra-modern Data Centre is part of our efforts to meet the rapidly growing demand for hosting and data processing. The completion of the major civil work means that our flagship building of the Ooredoo Bousher Data Centre is there for the public to see, a proud symbol of our efforts to support and promote the national economy.”
