Mobilk - As part of its commitment to nurture and empower Oman’s youth, Ooredoo is starting a three month internship programme designed to provide on the job training for talented Omani students from colleges and universities across the Sultanate. Held on Ooredoo’s dynamic campus and the Ooredoo Data Centre, the programme is led by the company’s People Development Team and Department Directors who will educate students on the professional working skills needed to excel in the job market.
Kumail Al-Moosawi, Chief People and Corporate Affairs Officer at Ooredoo said: “Expanding on our belief in Oman’s talented young individuals, we are constantly exploring opportunities and designing training programmes to empower the future of our country; the youth. We believe in the importance of such initiatives as they will prepare the graduates by equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in an increasingly competitive market. Ooredoo will pass on the experience of an elite team of trainers, directors, and employees by guiding, educating, and supervising the interns. The training at our campus will allow the students to witness the day-to-day work environment and highlights and how theories are applied in real-life. This will help them to take their place as future business leaders and contributing to the prosperity and progress of the Sultanate”.
The internship programme has hosted around 85 talented students to date this year, with many more to come from the current and future programmes.
