Ooredoo Wins ‘Best Operator Network’ and ‘Best Digital Content Service’ in at Telecom World Middle East Awards

Mobilk - Setting a new benchmark in the telecoms industry, Ooredoo won ‘Best Operator Network’ and ‘Best Digital Content Service’ in the 2018 Telecoms World Middle East Awards. Held in Dubai, UAE, the 12th annual awards ceremony recognised leaders in different telecoms areas throughout the Middle East, for their innovation and revolutionising the industry. 

The accolades join a long list of awards won by the company over the years, with each milestone further proving the company’s dedication to excellence and digital transformation. 

The ‘Best Operator Network’, was awarded to Ooredoo for its national commitment to expand its high-speed 4G network from 56% to 95% coverage from the beginning of 2017 to date. This is the single largest upgrade in the company’s history and establishes Ooredoo’s ‘Supernet’ through the addition of over 1,100 locations extending across the country. This is the second time that Ooredoo have won the coveted award.

The second award came in recognition of Ooredoo TV Go, as ‘Best Digital Content Service’. Ooredoo TV Go is the first telco led OTT only TV proposition in the region.
