Mobilk - Despite the extreme weather caused by Cyclone Mekunu in Salalah, Ooredoo was able to keep everyone connected and their operations centres secured.
More than 15 teams travelled to Salalah with diesel generators and other key supplies working to implement protective measures last Wednesday, before the cyclone hit. As well as the teams on the ground, Ooredoo’s technology team has also continued to work around the clock to make sure that the network has stayed up and running.
There are currently still 18 teams in Salalah, deploying generators, fixing any network issues and tending to any damage caused by the storm. As a result of their efforts, Ooredoo’s network was able to provide service to all those affected, not only keeping them connected with loved ones but providing them with access to important updates on the storm.
