Mobilk - Ooredoo has joined hands with the Public Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Riyada) as well as the National Business Centre (NBC) to continue supporting SMEs during the ongoing edition of the highly popular Reyooq business incubator programme. Relaunched by NBC at the beginning of the year, the bi-monthly series consists of four sessions focusing on the Sultanate’s most promising economic sectors in line with the objectives of Vision 2040.
While the first two sessions focused on creative industries, energy, and manufacturing, Reyooq will explore tourism, transport and logistics during its final gatherings of the year. As part of its longstanding dedication to driving Omani entrepreneurship, Ooredoo has been part of the programme since 2014 with plans to ramp up its support in the near future.
Raed Dawood, Director of Government Relations at Ooredoo, said, “Reyooq is a programme which has helped prospective businessmen and women assess market niches and find out about opportunities across different sectors of the economy. As a company that believes in supporting Omani entrepreneurs to help realise the Sultanate’s economic vision, we understand that initiatives like these are going to help make the ambitions of thousands more commercially viable. For diversification to truly take hold, we need to see more of our entrepreneurs equipped with the knowledge required to achieve growth and Reyooq is an investment in making that happen.”
Reyooq, first launched in 2014, serves as the ultimate platform for Omani entrepreneurs to gain development support and innovative ideas for their businesses from experts in different fields. The initiative promotes the continued growth of the Sultanate’s burgeoning entrepreneurial community and seeks to drive the development of pioneers empowered to create positive change in Omani society.
