Mobilk - The Government Accelerators Team, responsible for the challenge of reducing the number of documents in government services, has completed the challenge of eliminating the request of the four most common documents including passport, family book, Emirate ID, and residency details.
The challenge idea is to eliminate the need for the most requested documents, and thus reducing the number of necessary steps to obtain the service, in addition to cancelling the need of the customer to attend personally to the entity to provide one of the four documents to confirm the authenticity and origin of the documents.
The targeted group in this challenge includes all the customers of government entities. The identified objective measurement is to eliminate the request of the mentioned documents for more than 75% of the government services in each entity. This is accompanied with another objective, which is increasing the number of the Smart Pass users. The objective has been achieved for the government entities participating in the Accelerators Team, which are: Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization, Ministry of Infrastructure Development, Ministry of Culture & Knowledge Development, The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, Emirates Identity Authority, Emirates Post Group, and Sheikh Zayed Housing programme.
This achievement is in line with the governments efforts to increase customer happiness through facilitating and accelerating the services application process, through interconnection and provision of data and documents exchange between government entities.
This challenge has another dimension which is facilitating smart transformation of services, where the customer could apply for services entirely through the e-platform of each entity.
The project is divided into three phases, the first of which was the selection of services to be included in the challenge. The second one included the study and restructure of services to ensure not requesting any of the four documents, in addition to studying the positive impact resulting from this transformation. The third phase included services development to include the amendments, and then testing and launching the services to be accessible to customers.
It is worth to mention that the success in implementing this challenge will ensure its extension to the rest of the government entities. This will allow the inclusion of more government entities in the process of transformation and cancelation of documentation request through data exchange.
