Mobilk - The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has announced the launch of TRA Innovation Camp in its third edition, starting Sunday 9th of July, and lasting until 10 August 2017. The camp aims to orient the younger generation towards future technological horizons, support exploration, innovation, future shaping and develop self-technical skills of the youth, in line with the countrys approach in the ICT field.
The TRA Innovation Camp is held in several emirates to ensure the inclusion of the largest number of participants from the age of 6-17 years, girls and boys. During the camp, TRA organizes 24 diverse activities focusing on building basic skills that help students develop and refine their talents as well as encourage them to adopt entrepreneurship in general, especially in the digital world. Activities in the camp include smart city project, safe use of technology and social networking, design and arts, creativity and industry of the future, building positive skills, Year of Giving programs and activities, volunteering and community service, and other activities.
H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, TRA Director General, said: Through organizing this camp, the TRA seeks to promote and disseminate the culture of innovation in the ICT field among the UAEs young generation, to instill the seeds of knowledge and to encourage them to excel and innovate, as part of the efforts to build and prepare the UAE youth talents. This event is in line with the directives of the wise leadership in creating an innovation conducive environment that leads the UAE to top international positions in various fields. It is also a continuation of the success we have achieved in the previous editions of the camp, and a reflection of our social responsibility.
The activities of the camp begin at 8.30 a.m. and continue until 2.00 p.m. for 5 days a week. Free and advanced transportation to the activities sites is provided for the students free of charge. Students are divided into small groups and every group includes 18-22 students, each with a daily program that varies by age group
