Mobilk - Three high achieving members of the Ooredoo Oman management team have successfully completed an international Business Leadership Programme, designed to build the telecommunications company’s strategic capabilities. Running from October 2015 to April 2016 and conducted in Qatar and Switzerland, the high-impact training course was delivered by the Geneva-based International Institute of Management & Development, one of the world’s most highly-regarded and respected leadership training authorities.
“We would like to congratulate Said Al Shanfari, Monther Al Mamari, and Sultan Al Wahaibi on their graduation from this leadership course. Chosen for their business acumen and motivation, they have proven themselves by rising to this demanding challenge. We now look forward seeing them put their new skills into action and benefiting from their insights and perspectives,” said Kumail Al Moosawi, Ooredoo Chief People and Corporate Affairs Officer.
He added: “With a firm and enduring belief in the potential of Oman’s talent pool, Ooredoo is committed to capacity building. As we prepare our organisation for the future, we guide our team members on a structured career and training path, developing the next generation of telecommunications industry leaders.”
The Ooredoo Chief People and Corporate Affairs Officer went on to explain that amongst the high-powered leadership programme’s objectives were the development of financial and commercial expertise, the enhancement of skills for the analysis and resolution of business challenges, and the refinement of communication techniques especially the presentation of decisions and business cases. In addition, the participants had the opportunity to network and share ideas with their Ooredoo counterparts from across the region.
The company aims to be not only Oman’s communications provider of choice but also its preferred employer, expressing its core company values of caring, connecting and challenging as much in its human resource operations as in its value-packed products and services. Creating direct and indirect employment opportunities across the Sultanate, Ooredoo devotes significant energy to identifying, training and developing local talent.
