Etisalat today announced its participation in the "Digital Consumer Channels MEA" 2009 conference, which is taking place at Le Meridien Al Aqah in Fujairah, until May 21. Etisalat is the platinum sponsor of the Conference as well as the awards ceremony. Mr. Khalifa Al Shamsi, Vice President, Consumer from Etisalat attended the conference and addressed delegates with his views on how Etisalat is maximizing retail opportunities in the telecom space.
In his presentation, Al Shamsi commented on Etisalat's comprehensive retail strategy that enables Etisalat to reach across to its customers across the country and remain accessible to them. Etisalat has outlets at convenient locations to provide prompt services to the customers without the need for them to visit an Etisalat office. This is a critical element in Etisalat’s overall objective of providing an outstanding level of service to its valued customers. he also gave the audience an insight into the many initiatives being undertaken to enhance customer service and meet their needs like joint marketing campaigns, bundling of packages i.e. iPhone, Acer Netbook, Nokia, etc. and other value added services for customers .
Etisalat has over the years built an enviable retail network which currently encompasses the following: 43 Business Centers, 30 Outlets, 700+ Key retail outlets, 20,000+ resellers.
