Mobilk - The Mobile Show, and Cards and Payments Middle East 2013, the Middle East’s only dedicated trade show focusing on mobile, and cards and payments industries, attracted over 4,000 visitors to the event held at the Dubai World Trade Centre Arena.
Presented by Mobily and Emirates Identity Authority, the inaugural two-day event creates a platform for businesses and individuals to engage and network with industry experts, leading solution providers and developers, and specialists from across the globe.
Event organiser Mathew Wallhead, general manager of Terrapinn commented that both of the co-located shows were a resounding success for exhibitors and visitors alike, “The prolific rise in mobile technology, and cards and contactless payment capabilities has revolutionized the way consumers, issuers and merchants interact with each other. Over 200 exhibitors were present at the exhibitions including global industry players Gemalto & Oberthur, Mobily and Samsung. Developing a nation-wide digital wallet was at the top of the Cards and Payments show agenda. The shows also explored the latest innovative trends in payments, driving value with mobile and the power of GenM.
