MobileCom ,a member of the Jordan Telecom Group launches new attractive services and offers

In a bid to provide its customers with a new telecom experience, GSM operator MobileCom, a member of the Jordan Telecom Group, has unveiled a bundle of new services and offers.

The announcement of the new offers took place during a press meeting attended by the Jordan Telecom Group CEO Mickael Ghossein, the Group’s EVP Francois de Loynes and the Vice President of Jordan Telecom Group and MobileCom CEO Majd Shweikeh.

“We are proud to introduce to the local market a number of our high level services and first of its kind convergent offers that come in line with our ambitious plan to distinguish ourselves in this radically changing and highly competitive industry,” Ghossein said.

“We are confident of the services we offer, whether the advanced technology we use or our staff who are well trained,” de Loynes commented.

The Group’s GSM operator revealed the latest changes on its Pay Monthly Club Offer, which constituted a drop in tariffs and monthly fees up to 20%, receiving free value added services (VAS) on monthly bases, the introduction of a new essential bundle of 2 hours for as low as JD9 per month, free connection fees, and a 50% discount on refundable deposits. The renewed Club Offer, which gives the subscriber added advantages, flexibility and various bundles, also offers a variety of handsets or discounted monthly fees to guarantee that customers receive the best product and service according to their specific needs.
Furthermore, MobileCom also focused on its Corporate Offers by introducing 3 new offers with attractive and competitive rates with a total decrease that reaches to 18% on tariffs and monthly subscription.

The company has as well provided additional incentives on monthly subscription depending on the number of lines and commitment duration, reaching to 40% of the basic monthly subscription meeting small, medium and large companies’ requirements starting from 5 lines and above.

Companies can also benefit from the +CUG service, which allows them to conduct unlimited free calls within a certain group. This service enjoys new decreased monthly subscription, therefore providing the most effective of corporate solutions.

“Through revamping its Club and Corporate Offers, MobileCom gives its customers the opportunity to talk for hours with the best of tariffs, meeting by that their growing expectations,” Shweikeh said.

Shweikeh also said that MobileCom will be launching BlackBerry® service that enables its customers to access and browse the internet easily and from anywhere and at any time. Also, it allows them to open any attached Excel, PowerPoint, PDF files they receive in their inbox in addition to the normal functions such as making and receiving calls as well as sending SMS. This service mainly targets companies and businessmen that travel a lot.

In line with this introduction, MobileCom will launch in the local market both handsets “BlackBerry® 8700g” and “BlackBerry® Pearl TM”.

Targeting businessmen, the company also launched the Samba 75 USB Modem that allows the customer to connect to the internet anytime and anywhere from their laptops or normal PCs using the GPRS network with the advanced EDGE feature. The subscriber can either use his/her own SIM card or an exclusive Data Only Line SIM card to use this modem.

Furthermore, MobileCom customers will be able to access a menu of a wide range of services through its USSD portal. The menu will include Self-Care features which are balance inquiry, Top-Up (pre-paid), call me back, handset setting, PUK code and unblock recharging. It also includes My Offers features, which allow the customer to view and change offers, display promotions and select SMS/MMS bundles as well as managing their friend and family contact list. It includes as well My Services features, which consist of its ring tone service Dandana, SMS2TV & MMS2TV, info channels, games, WEB and WAP bundles, ring tones download, ASE application download and MobileCom guide download.

In another effort that aims at facilitating customers’ needs, Shweikeh announced that the company will launch a first of its kind service titled SMS Tool, which enables dummy activated customers who haven’t registered their personal information to update it by sending an SMS with their national ID number to 99250 and confirming it by sending another message to the same number.

On another note, Shweikeh added that MobileCom’s Pay As You Go customers can now pay their mobile phone bill and recharge their account in a convenient way through using Visa or Visa Electron by logging onto MobileCom’s website www.mobilecom.joand clicking on the link “e-payment”.

As for the convergent offers, the Group’s Internet and data services business unit Wanadoo has recently provided MobileCom’s customers with the ability to connect to the internet by simply using the 14 digit scratch card number as the password and “wanadoo@coolnet” as the username and dialing 081070000 from any landline to activate the service.

MobileCom’s customers wishing to use Weinak service were given earlier this year a new distribution channel for this service by just sending a free SMS containing the word Weinak in addition to a certain number that identifies one of Weinak available values (JD1, 2, 3, 5 in talk value).

Weinak account, which can be recharged using MobileCom’s prepaid cards, enables customers when making international calls from their fixed lines to benefit from the most affordable international tariffs that are available in the “Weinak” prepaid service.

“We are focusing on finding the best solutions for our customers as we endeavor to provide updated, high tech services that ease their lives,” Shweikeh concluded.
