The South Asia, Middle East and North Africa 'SAMENA' Telecom Council held last week in Istanbul, announced that Orange Jordan, the sole integrated telecom provider in the Kingdom, received three prestigious awards at the Council's Award Ceremony, following fierce competition amongst 38 operators spanning 25 countries.
The enviable title of "Best Convergent Operator of the Year" marked the first award for Orange Jordan, for consistency during negotiations with the Jordanian authorities on obtaining the exclusive 3G license and approval to launch 3G convergent services.
The award for "Best Fixed Operator of the Year" marked the second achievement of the night for Orange Jordan, granted for the steadiness and consistency of Orange Jordan fixed in maintaining its level of wireline clients when most other fixed operators were witnessing declining numbers in their wireline customer base. The third award for "Best Architect of the Year" rounded off the achievements for Orange Jordan.
Orange Jordan expressed its delight in winning these awards and pledged its ongoing commitment to excel in the telecom industry highlighting that this success offered a clear testimony of Orange Jordan’s leading position amongst national and regional telecom companies.
