The HTC HD2 has today gone on sale at O2, the first HTC-branded phone to be sold by the operator. The smartphone is available from free on contract and can be purchased in-store and over the phone.
The HD2 comes, which runs off the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system, comes with HTC Sense. The manufacturer says it is "a mobile experience focussed on putting people at the centre by making your phone work in a more simple and natural way". HTC Sense revolves around three principles – Make it Mine, Stay Close and Discover the Unexpected.
It comes with a 4.3-inch touchscreen, 1GHZ processor and built-in GPS, Wi-Fi and FM radio. It also has YouTube, Facebook and Twitter integration and a microSD slot for expandable memory, as well as a standard 3.5mm headphone jack and Bluetooth.
O2 UK general manager for devices Steve Adler said: "The HTC HD2 is the first HTC branded phone to be sold on O2. We love the large screen and combination of Windows Mobile 6.5 with HTC Sense. We are proud to be the home of smartphones and the HTC HD2 adds a new dimension to the range of devices we offer to our customers."
