QITCOM 2012 takes Talent to the top

Mobilk - With just five weeks to go, QITCOM 2012 is getting ready to inspire, support and discover Information Communication Technology (ICT) talents from across the region and beyond. One of QITCOM’s main objectives is to encourage the development of ICT entrepreneurs as they play an important role in fueling growth, adding jobs and building communities. Entrepreneurs created the world’s most dynamic and successful companies and even in the most challenging times they continue to look for opportunities and proactively take calculated risks to grow. As Qatar moves forward in realizing its 2030 national vision to become a knowledge based economy, the ICT sector plays an ever increasing role in enabling this development. As an industry forecast event, QITCOM recognizes the importance of entrepreneurs as a catalyst to this development and is dedicated to supporting them. 

 

First introduced to QITCOM last year, “Innovation Theater” will continue to offer a unique platform to attract, promote and expose young talent to the digital content realm; encouraging them to voice their innovations and supporting them in starting up their businesses. “Innovation Theatre” will launch a business plan competition to award the best and most innovative digital business ideas, with a focus on women’s’ interests, gaming, mobile apps and others. Furthermore, entrepreneurs will receive coaching and mentoring in order to perfect their business ideas and pitch. 

 

Another demonstration of QITCOM’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs is the exposure it provides to industry leaders and the latest innovations in the ICT sector. In addition to the internationally renowned key note motivational speakers, QITCOM 2012 will introduce “Tech Zone” which will showcase innovation to the Qatari Market and the region.
