Mobilk - Empowering Omani youth with opportunity, the Ooredoo-sponsored Olympics of Civilizations short film won third best production in the MBC 1 edutainment show Qomrah 2. The all-Omani Ki-Bros Production was chosen from among 24,000 idea-makers and 4,280 filmmakers who participated in the competition. The top three films were selected by a special judging panel during the Qomrah 2 award ceremony in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Raed Dawood, Director of Government Relations and Corporate Affairs at Ooredoo, said, “Our support for this venture is part and parcel of our longstanding efforts to nurture Omani talent and offer them platforms to showcase their skills. We would like to congratulate Ki-Bros Productions on this milestone achievement and wish them the best of luck in the future. Their incredible success will no doubt serve as an inspiration to youth in Oman and around the region.”
Osamah Al-Rasbi, Content Creator at Ki-Bros said, “We are grateful and amazed to be selected as the third best production from among tens of thousands of participants. We wanted to communicate a message that would touch people from all backgrounds. Our success is not just a vote of confidence from the judging panel but also the general public whose passionate votes and support helped carry us this far. From the wealth of talent and high-quality productions on display on this year’s season, we knew the judges would have a difficult time choosing the best films. We would like to thank them as well as those who watched, voted and believed in us and our message. We hope our production, and journey in this competition will serve as a launching pad for idea-makers and directors to deepen their craft and reach even larger audiences at home and abroad.”
