Thuraya at Dubai Airshow 2017

The company is displaying its new Thuraya Aero platform

Mobilk - Thuraya Telecommunications Company is showcasing its space-based communication equipment as well as taking part in a panel discussion at Dubai Airshow, held from November 12th - 16th. As an exhibitor, the company is stationed at booth #1410 in the Space Pavilion along with service partner, smp aviation. For this year’s event, Thuraya and smp aviation are highlighting their recently released airborne satellite communication platform, Thuraya Aero. 

Thuraya Aero is an in-flight communication system that enables broadband internet access, voice calls, text messaging, and high-speed data applications like video conferencing and aerial surveillance on board small- to medium sized planes, as well as fixed- and rotary wing aircrafts. The service is developed by Thuraya in collaboration with the Aero Group - an international consortium of well-known aerospace solution suppliers, namely Cobham, Scotty Group, SRT Wireless, with smp aviation in the commercial lead.
