Zain, part of the Zain Group, the leading mobile operator in the Middle East and Africa, sponsored the Arab Adolescents Forum. The forum, launched under the patronage of HM Queen Rania Al Abdullah, lasted for three days and was organized by the Jordan River Foundation on the occasion of the world day for the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
Zain’s Director of Corporate communication and CSR Suzanne Afanah said: “Zain is proud of both its support of the forum and its tight relations with the Jordan River Foundation; a relation the company seeks to consolidate by supporting various initiatives organized by the Foundation”.
Afanah added that the company’s strategy focuses on developing the local telecommunications sector as well as the local community. “The company is conscious of the significance of spreading the awareness on the importance of saving children and building a healthy family, something that will positively reflect on any society” says Afanah, who further noted that supporting the forum is a reflection of the company’s vision to back the various initiatives that aim to strengthen Jordan’s development processes.
It is worth noting that Zain, in corporation worth the Jordan Rover Foundation, launched the family support line (number 110) for families and children three years ago. The free line enables both children and adults to call and receive consultation on topics related to child rearing, special guidance. When needed, calls are also directed to sister institutions where needed.
