Zain Jordan sponsors Amman International Marathon

Zain, part of the Zain Group, the leading mobile operator in the Middle East and Africa, sponsored the Amman International Marathon. The event was launched by the Greater Amman Municipality as part of the celebrations of the tenth anniversary of His Majesty King Abdullah’s ascend to the throne and for the centenary of the founding of the Greater Amman Municipality. 

As well as the financial support provided by the company, Zain had provided the marathon and its management with a based wireless Internet service (WiFi). The service was provided in the race registration area as well as in the media center.

On this occasion, Zain CEO Dr. AbdelMalek Al Jaber said that the company's support of the Amman International Marathon comes in line with its aim to be continuously involved in all events that are of interest to Jordanians. Al Jaber added that the company believes in the importance of the role of the private sector in supporting government initiatives, which works to promote solidarity among members of the local community.

Al-Jaber ecognized the efforts of The Municipality in serving the local community and in developing the city of Amman, adding that the renewal of the agreement reflects the company's appreciation for the role played by the Municipality and its staff to serve their community.
