Zain, part of the Zain group, the leading mobile operator in the Middle East and Africa, held a free medical day at the Ain Janna secondary school for girls, located in Ajloun. The medical services offered were part of the activities in an open day held by the company for school students, as part of its participation in the "Madrasati" initiative, launched by her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdallah.

The Ain Janna School is one of the schools adopted by Zain during the second phase of the "Madrasati" program. The schools zain adopted
included Kufr-Khal elementary school in Jerash and Ain Janna secondary school for girls in Ajloun. During phase one, Zain undertook the maintenance and rehabilitations in both Al-Jwaidaeh secondary school for girls in Quaismeh and the Western Thahbeiah school for boys in Al- Mwaqar , In addition to Amal elementary school for the deaf in Zarqa .

Zain's mobile clinic received around 700 students and offered dental check up services as well as awareness on personal hygiene with regards to oral and teeth health. Students also learned the best ways to brush their teeth, especially after recent studies showing that student who enjoy dental health care in Jordan do not exceed 30%. The company also distributed free tooth brushes and paste.

Furthermore, the Zain clinic, equipped with specialised medical equipment, offered students free comprehensive health services including free medication.

Zain CEO Dr. Abdelmalik Al-Jaber expressed the company's pride for being one of the first companies to join the "Madrasati" initiative due to its noble goals that aim at improving the educational process in Jordan. Al Jaber added that Zain is looking forward to contributing to all the initiatives that aim to support the educational sector, and that are in line with the company's strategy that aims to contribute towards the sustainability of the local educational sector.

Dr. Al Jaber added: "Zain is committed to holding its social responsibilities in the various sectors, with the educational sector being the top of its priorities as it is considered to be the base in developing societies, and reaching the desired levels of social and economical development."

The "Madrasati" initiative which was launched by her Majesty Queen Rania Al-abdallah last year, seeks to respond to the basic requirements for improving the educational environment whether by developing and maintaining schools or fulfilling the teachers and students educational needs, in collaboration with the private and public sectors and non governmental organizations.

The open included a number of entertainment activities during which they demonstrated their talents. Prizes were distributed to the students along with agendas.

In addition to Madrasati, Zain was engaged in various initiatives that support the educational sector. The company has launched its Education Fund through which it offers 42 scholarships per year. It also adopted the initiative to digitize the science curriculum for grades from 1 to12 as part of the Jordanian Educational Initiative (JEI), as well as hosting the initiative offices in the company's building in Um-Uthaina, and providing the building with wireless internet services and all the required equipment for the program’s supervisors.

Zain is a major sponsor of the "Madrasati" initiative, launched by H.M. Queen Rania Al-Abdullah. The initiative aims at rehabilitating, maintaining and supporting the development of more than 500 schools around Jordan. Zain dedicated half a million to support this ambitious initiative for the next five years through supporting a number of governmental schools.

It is worth mentioning that Zain's mobile clinic was launched in the year 2002 with the purpose of providing free, comprehensive medical care for people in remote areas that lack the comprehensive health services. This clinic was able to provide services for many cases of common diseases from which children suffer. The clinic is distinguished for its comprehensive medical services; it has a complete medical equipment, qualified medical team, full readiness to prescribe all drugs and medications for free, in addition to the possibility to send the sick people to medical centers and hospitals that are part of the Ministry of Health, through full coordination with the ministry and its directories spread all over the kingdom.

Zain was one of the first sponsors for "Madrasati" initiative as it complies with the company's strategy that aims to support the educational sector in Jordan. During phase one, the company maintained and rehabilitated both Al-Jwaideh school for girls in Al Quaismeh and the western Thahabeiah School for boys, Al-Amal elementary school for the deaf in Al-Zarqa governorate. The company has also adopted other schools through the "Injaz" program, as well as adopting the Al-Mansheia school in Ma'an, one of the least fortunate schools in the governorate. It also developed and improved the scientific facilities and the general appearance of Al-Sawary secondary school for girls in Aqaba, which is considered one of the biggest schools in the governorate.
