HTC has unveiled the Snap, it’s latest QWERTY keypad-based smartphone.
The phone includes the manufacturer’s Inner Circle feature that allows users to press a dedicated Inner Circle key to bring emails from a pre-selected group of people to the top of their inbox, enabling important messages to be acted upon quickly.
The Snap, which is based on the Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard platform, comes with a jog ball for navigation and is designed with large domed keys and responsive tactile feedback in order to make typing emails and text messages faster and more accurate.
It also comes with HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as a 1500mAh battery that enables eight-and-a-half hours of talk time.
HTC chief marketing officer John Wang said: "Recognising that people are being overwhelmed by an avalanche of email, the HTC Snap introduces Inner Circle, an HTC innovation that makes it easy for people to prioritise messages from the most important people in their lives at the proess of a button.
"The HTC Snap represents the latest snap in HTC’s mission to create a range of innovative smartphones, each with specific benefits designed to both surprise and delight our customers."
The HTC Snap will be rolled out in the Summer. Details on availability and pricing are currently unavailable.
