Orange Jordan signed an agreement to support Tkiyet Um Ali, whereby Orange will pay for the expenses of building the "goodwill market", the second of its kind in the Kingdom and the first in Amman.
CEO of Orange, Mrs. Nayla Khawam, singed the agreement on behalf of Orange, and Saif Al- Shareef, 2nd Deputy Chairman of the board of Tkiyet Um Ali, singed it on behalf of Tkiyet Um Ali, with the attendance of members of the Board of Directors and Directors from both sides in addition to a number of Journalists.
Orange's Support for the goodwill market project during the holy month of Ramadan comes as part of Tkiyet Um Ali campaign "Akrem Wa Ate’m" with the aim of giving hope to those who need it in the holy month.
By virtue of the agreement, Orange will pay for the cost of building this market which will provide food packages on monthly basis in a way that protects the dignity of the beneficiaries and realizes the slogan of Tkiyet Um Ali: "dignified living for the poor" by offering the food packages in a humane and civilized manner. The market will also reduce administrative costs and prevent duplication of distributaion. The packages will be provided to 700-1000 families to be chosen by the Tkiyet based on field studies.
After signing the agreement, Mrs. Khawam said: "This sponsorship comes as part of a long partnership with the Tkiyet and in line with Orange's philosophy to serve the society and provide support to its educational, youth, and charity institutions. We made sure that our partnership with the Tkiyet this year is different from past years and in parallel to the needs of the poor, especially in this holy."
Saif Al-Shareef, 2nd deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tkiyet expressed his gratitude to Orange and said: "We take pride in our continuous relationship with Orange Jordan, the pioneering company in charity and a valuable partner to the Tkiyet's projects and programs since its very beginning and until now". He added: "I would like to thank you for your support of the goodwill campaign and your efforts in providing dignified living for those who are less fortunate."
