Zain Jordan assigns full staff to face the most recent snow storm

Zain, part of the Zain Group, the leading mobile telecommunications provider in the Middle East and Africa, allocated a number of special vehicles to face the most recent snow storm and help citizens to deal with emergency situations while maintaining the quality of the network for all its subscribers.

Zain also supplied the other towers with mobile electricity generators to increase their capacity and enable them to function normally.

Meanwhile, a Zain team aided Jordanians move their cars from the snow and helped the general security and civil defense in opening a number of main and side streets, closed by the snow, using special tractors.

Zain used the highest technologies and best international networking standards to ensure the micro-cables did not become damaged, as it would have led to a complete shut down of the network, or noise. Zain's engineering staff constantly monitored the performance of transmission stations through the main central control apparatus in the company. 

Zain Chief Technical Officer, Samir Abu Zahra, confirmed that the company is ready and able to face harsh weather conditions, particularly in winter. He said Zain took precautionary procedures throughout last year and this year to ensure the continuity of the network in the harshest of conditions. These efforts include periodic maintenance to the towers and other technical activities.
Abu Zahra added that Zain's engineering teams were ready to face any situation and were able to reach any main transmission point affected by the snow. As a result, he said, Zain's network did not face any problems during the recent snow storm. He added that Zain continually strives to maintain and develop its towers and increase its capacity.
