Last Sunday, Fann FM broadcasted its morning show, "Bisaraha ma’a il Wakeel", presented by renowned media figure Mohammed Al-Wakeel, live from the Zain headquarters (formerly known as Fastlink), on the occasion of the company's launching of its new corporate brand.
The event witnessed a great turnout and much involvement by the company's customers who joined "Zain" in celebrating
its new launch, a step that paves its way in becoming a global company. A large gathering filled the streets to listen live to Al-Wakeel, whose program is considered one of the most popular radio shows in the kingdom with a listeners base of over three million. The company distributed gifts to its customers who packed its headquarters showroom located on the eighth circle.
Al-Wakeel interviewed company officials and several Zain staff members who have been part of the Zain family since its establishment 12 years ago.
CEO of Zain in Jordan, Saad Nasir, spoke about the reasons behind the corporate re-branding and the name change, pointing out that the company is part of the large "Zain Group" family, which today comprises 21 companies and is preparing to expand on a large scale toward becoming a global service provider.
Today, the group carries seven different names, which, according to Nasir, calls for brand consolidation to make it more convenient for customers, especially while traveling between the Group's countries, and to enable them to enjoy a unified service experience.
Nasir added that consolidating the Group companies under the unified umbrella of the Zain brand will reflect positively on customers as they can benefit from the advanced technologies offered by any of the Group's companies. In the future, there will be a multitude of services and benefits that will be enjoyed by its large customer base which exceeds 32 million.
He further explained that the company has been planning the transition to the new brand for two years, to realize the ambitious vision of the Group to expand and proliferate into new markets.
On her part, Director of Information and Communications, Suzanne Afaneh, explained that the brand "Zain" and its new slogan "beautiful world" represent the energetic, diverse and inspiring nature of the company customers and employees. The new brand and colorful identity projects the Group's modernity, progressiveness and vitality through the movement of colors that embodies the concept of unique individually, an attribute continuously sought by mankind in pursuit of evolution, advancement and diversity.
Afaneh added, "Zain" is an authentic Arabic name symbolizing all that is beautiful, good and wonderful, with positive connotations in world languages and cultures. More than just a name or a slogan, zain stands for substance and action, and encompasses brilliance, excellence, and belonging, the values that drive the Zain Group.
