Wataniya participates in Promoting Investment in Palestinian Telecommunications Sector

Wataniya Palestine participated this week in the Palestinian Information Technology Association’s end of the year conference on “Promoting Investment in Palestinian Telecommunications Sector”.

The conference brought together all ICT sector stakeholders in Palestine to openly discuss recent sector developments especially given latest advances in the ongoing effort to liberalize the sector and increase competition within it.

Wataniya was represented at the conference by its Marketing Director, Paul Wade, who delivered a presentation focusing on the expected impact on the sector and on the Palestinian economy as a whole from the entrance of Wataniya Palestine to the market.

In his presentation Mr. Wade explained the WPT represented the largest inward investment in Palestine for many years. He also explained how the entrance of a 2nd mobile operator throughout the world had consistently lead to increased competition, better services and a more dynamic and vibrant business environment.
