Batelco Bahrain Sponsors University of Bahrain (UoB) Career Day

Batelco, Bahrain's leading telecommunications operator and one of the major sponsors of education in the Kingdom, is delighted once again to support the UoB (University of Bahrain) Career Day which will take place at the university’s Sakhir campus on March 23rd, 24th and 25th 2009. This is the 10th year that Batelco has supported the event.

Batelco Group Human Resources General Manager Shaikh Ahmed Al Khalifa presented a sponsorship cheque to UoB Vice President for Planning & Community Service Prof. Dr. Ali Mansour Al Shehab at a presentation held at Batelco Hamala Headquarters.

"We are delighted once again to support this key event that is instrumental in guiding today’s students on a successful career path," said Shaikh Ahmed.

"Career Day provides the perfect opportunity for university students to find out more about careers in the telecommunications industry as well as the wider job market," he said.

Prof. Dr. Al Shehab thanked Batelco for their generousity and stressed that the company’s continuous support for the university’s activities would benefit the work market.

"The continued sponsorship of this event has created a unique relationship between the university and one of the major companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which will surely contribute to further boosting mutual co-operation," said Dr. Al Shehab.

Batelco will host a stand at the event where industry experts will be available to answer questions and give advice based on their years of experience in their respective fields.

“The youth of today will be the leaders of tomorrow. Education, knowledge and sound advice will provide invaluable tools to help them face the challenges that lie ahead. The UoB, in organising events such as this, is helping to build a better future for Bahraini generations to come,” Shaikh Ahmed concluded.
