Batelco, the Kingdom’s leading ISP (Internet Services Provider), has launched an enhanced and convenient service allowing Batelco’s Consumer Broadband customers to upgrade to higher broadband speeds from the comfort of their own homes. Additionally, the new service is the easy way for new customers to subscribe to Batelco Consumer Broadband packages.
Batelco is the first ISP in the region to offer automated service provisioning online which includes automatic broadband account creation, on-the-fly line speed test and interactivity with the customer.
“With Batelco’s enhanced and automated Broadband provisioning service, customers will no longer need to queue at Batelco’s retail shop to upgrade their package, buy extra usage bundles or sign up for new Broadband services,” explained Batelco Group GM Media & Government Relations Ahmed Al Janahi.
“The enhanced online service has been integrated with Batelco’s systems to automate the service provisioning and instantly performs procedures online which would otherwise be carried out manually at Batelco’s Retail Shops.”
The smart system also performs on-the-spot validation of customer selections/entries and provides interactive feedback messages to the customer. Furthermore it has been integrated with Batelco’s line testing tool to provide testing of maximum line attainability to offer the customers only the speeds which can be delivered over their lines.
“We have introduced this new service to provide added value for our customers and enhance their experience when subscribing for Batelco’s products and services,” added Mr. Al Janahi.
