XPress Telecommunications signed an agreement with the Ministry of Labor

XPress Telecommunications recently signed an agreement with the Ministry of Labor, enabling the Ministry's employees to benefit from XPress' services, including the Push to Talk (PTT) service.
The agreement grants the Ministry of Labor 220 lines from XPress, to be used by several of the ministry’s departments. Since XPress is the first within the Jordanian market to combine the abilities of ordinary mobile phones with the instantaneous Direct Connect (walkie-talkie) services using iDEN technologies, this agreement will allow the Ministry of Labor employees to benefit from XPress' PTT service.
Mr. Amer Mowafi, XPress’s Chief Operating Officer, commented on this achievement by stating that "We are proud to have an influential entity like the Ministry of Labor included in its clients network. We hope that this agreement is a start for further cooperation between both parties. And I believe that we are now a step closer to achieving our goals for expansion." he said.
On her part, Ms. Ahlam Al Nasser, Administrative Manager at the Ministry of Labor, said "I am pleased with the interest XPress Telecommunication has taken in the Ministry of Labor. We at the Ministry believe that XPress' services provided through this agreement will update our methods of operation and provide for us easier and more efficient means of communications that will help us upgrade our levels of productivity."
XPress Telecommunications first launched its operations within the Jordanian telecommunications market in June 2004. Through its sole partnership with Motorola it has become the only firm in the region to offer services that are dependent on the Integrated Digital Enhanced Network (iDEN) technology. XPress' offerings include its primary Push-to-Talk (PTT) service, which is one that enables immediate conversations either through One-to-One or talking in groups One-to-Many. The firm also offers subscribers the Push-to-View (PTV) service for the instant exchange of pictures, the Push-to-Order service (PTO) for instant shopping, and the (iPTT) feature for easy communication over seas. XPress also introduces novel billing solutions, through its pre-paid subscriptions, and its Billing-Per-Second systems, alongside other standardized mobile phone services. XPress also has recently launched a new Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) service “XPlore”, a service that will allow all its subscribers to keep themselves updated on the latest in world news, and other entertaining features using their handsets. Its network currently covers 95% of populated areas across the country and XPress is continuously upgrading its level of optimization.
