Weighing only 30 grams, this gadget is a HSDPA modem capable of handling speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps.
Speaking at the occasion, VIVA’s CEO, Mr. Najeeb Al-Awadi, stated VIVA would be offering this high-tech modem free of charge, along with a data SIM card for everyone subscribing for VIVA’s mobile internet service before end of the exhibition 2009. Al-Awadi stated that VIVA network is capable and equipped with the latest, unique and one of its kind HSPDA technologies in the region with a speed can be reach up to 14.4 Mbps.
He also said VIVA’s new service grants full internet options, with the fastest mobile internet, such as browsing, downloading, video-viewing, emails and others, stressing that VIVA’s state-of-the-art network provides high transfer speeds; faster than any modem currently available in the market.
Further, VIVA has presented H.E., Mr. Nabeel Bin Salama, Kuwaiti Minister of Communication, with a VIVA modem and router to have him be amongst the first to use this new VIVA device and service.
