Mobilk - GITEX Shopper 2012 is set to break new records next week when the regions biggest consumer IT and electronics retail show opens the doors at its new venue -- the Dubai World Trade Centre . Taking place earlier this year, the show will run from 29 September - 6 October 2012, with longer shopping hours to accommodate the almost 175,000 visitors expected during the eight day sales extravaganza.
The shows new central location offers more parking, food and beverage outlets and its own dedicated Metro Station just steps away from the show, providing the ultimate convenience for all visitors and shoppers.
The move has also enabled continued show growth with GITEX Shopper occupying 35,000 square metres of space including an impressive 25% increase in retail space to allow exhibitors to showcase an unprecedented 30,000 gadgets and the latest cutting-edge products.
More than 120 companies will participate including many of the worlds top brands who are first time participants. These include Acer, Asus, Ferrari Headphones, HTC, LG, Nestle, Toshiba and Western Digital. In addition, top consumer brands such as Bose, Canon, Dell, Epson, Fujifilm, HCL, HP, Intel, Lexar, Nikon, Nintendo, Samsung, Seagate and Toshiba will be showcasing their latest products and offering exceptional value across the board.
Both local and regional retailers and distributors expect strong returns on their participation at this years show, with leading power retailers such as Al Falak, Al Sayegh, CompuME, E-City, EMAX, Etisalat, Geekay Games, iSTYLE, Jackys Electronics, Jumbo Electronics, Plug-Ins, Sharaf DG , Tarsam, Touchmate and V.V. & Sons using GITEX Shopper as a key selling platform.

Added value has always been the mainstay of GITEX Shopper, with exclusive show offers, bundled deals and exciting competitions and this year is no exception with the show exhibitors and organiser giving away more than AED 50 million worth of prizes, including a 2013 Ford Mustang.
GITEX Shopper brings some exciting action to this years event, with activities such as the Intel Excited Temptations competition measuring visitors level of excitement and hi-octane dance moves to win Intel-powered Ultrabooks. GITEX Shopper 2012 will take place from 29 September - 6 October 2012. The show is open from 11:00am - 10:00pm from Saturday 29 September to Wednesday 3 October; from 11am - 11pm on Thursday 4 October to Saturday 6 October. For the first time ever, the event will open for longer hours on Fridays from 11:00am.
Tickets are priced at AED 30 per person and are available at the venue and online through Time Out Tickets, Ticketingco, EPPCO and ENOC petrol stations and Zoom convenience stores. Entry is free for children under the age of five.
