Etisalat’s today announced its partnership with the Abu Dhabi Media Summit during a press conference at the Yas Hotel Conference Centre. The three day summit will bring together some of the leading names in media from around the world to discuss the trends that are shaking the industry.
Ahmed bin Ali, Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications at Etisalat said: “We are delighted to partner with the Abu Dhabi Media Company to bring this forum to life. Forums such as the Abu Dhabi Media Summit are very important and we actively participate in order to engage with the industry. Partnering with this event will allow the telecom industry to engage with the media elite and elaborate on the different issues that are impacting our industries.”
At the forefront of these debates will be Etisalat’s chairman, Mohammad Omran who is scheduled to address the conference on March 10 during a panel debate on ‘Mobilisation’. Here Omran will update the audience as to the status of Etisalat’s LTE deployment for high-speed mobile broadband within the UAE and also the services that the operator is providing across its fixed-line fiber-optic network. Etisalat’s Group Chief Strategy Officer, Ali Al Ahmed, will also address the congress on March 11.
Etisalat is sponsoring the conference to encourage media to take up the challenge of servicing their customers with rich, locally generated content. Etisalat is already working with several of the region’s most important media companies. It is now looking to establish partnerships with a wider variety of organizations including print, radio and television companies.
