Mobilk  - As the expansion of the Middle East digital economy continues to accelerate, Huawei—a leading global ICT solutions provider—has unveiled under the campaign slogan “much is better” a beta version of its highly anticipated muchTV video streaming service for the Middle East. The new service allows users to enjoy a rich library of movies and programs from around the world on any Android or iOS device. The library of content has been designed from the ground up to meet the unique demands and tastes of the regional audience.

Leveraging Huawei’s global presence and existing media partnerships worldwide, the library contains a versatile mix of streamed video-on-demand and short-form content. The service offers unlimited streaming of its rich library of content. The service also provides users with a variety of parental controls, self-adaptive streaming, and the ability to host multiple-profiles and earmark favorite content for future viewing.

As part of the unveiling, Huawei is giving consumers the chance to enjoy the muchTV service free for a limited time. The app is available from app stores and the muchTV website. The service will be available to individuals across the GCC, Levant and North Africa.

The announcement is yet another signal of Huawei’s expansion into the digital content and hosting space in recent years. As part of the company’s InTouch Partnership Program, it is supported by over 2,100 partners worldwide collaborating across eight global Hosting Centers. The company’s first Middle East Hosting Centre—launched last year—supports the technological requirements of the inTouch Program including muchTV. Support includes access to open developer interfaces, app development tools, technology support staff & trainings, and testing environments to speed up the commercial progress of new services.
