West Sussex based in-flight communications provider AeroMobile will provide Emirates with an additional 84 of its eXphone systems.
The system which is manufactured in partnership with Panasonic allows airline passengers to use voice data, text messaging and data services in-flight.
This latest deal will brings the total number of eXphone systems installed on Emirates aircraft to 179 when installation is completed later this year.
AeroMobile president and chief executive Pål Bjørdal said: “This latest commitment from Emirates is a massive vote of confidence in the AeroMobile system.
“It has enabled over four million of their passengers to stay connected in-flight and helped them retain their well-deserved reputation as one of the world’s most innovative carriers.”
