T-Mobile has announced the launch of the MDA Compact V, the latest addition to its smartphone range.
The MDA Compact V is the first T-Mobile device to showcase internet with widgets, allowing users to select their favourite websites and receive updates as soon as information comes in, keeping them up to date on the latest news.
It includes integrated Sat Nav and comes with a week-long CoPilot trial. On June 1, the operator will start a promotion which will offer 10,000 customers that sign up to an 18-month contract free CoPilot Sat Nav for the duration of their contract.
The phone also comes with a 3.2-inch touchscreen and is based on the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system (an update to 6.5 is available in September). Other features of note include an MP3 player, a media player to watch videos and a 5-megapixel camera.
T-Mobile UK head of handset and device marketing Daniel Meredith said: "The T-Mobile MDA Compact V is a great addition to our ever-popular MDA range. It takes the web experience of the MDA portfolio to a new level with the introduction of internet on your phone with widgets and it's also the first MDA device to boast all the benefits offered by the very latest Microsoft Windows Mobile platform."
The phone is available from May 21 at T-Mobile stores and from its website and will be free on price plans from £50 per month.
