Samsung Mobile is to pour £1 million into marketing the 'Night Effect' edition of the Emporio Armani labelled handset. It will launch this month exclusively with Vodafone and Phones 4U.
The launch follows that of the manufacturer's Giorgio Armani handset at the start of 2008. The new Emporio Armani handset is targeted at young consumers interested in fashion and music.
The device features quick access shortcut music buttons, an illuminating LED around the edge of the phone and three megapixel camera. It also comes with an Armani branded neck strap and case and 1GB memory card.
Samsung Mobile vice president for UK and Ireland Mark Mitchinson said: “Samsung recognises the consumers’ need for mobiles that reflect their lifestyle.
"The Night Effect offers the young a phone that really stands out and gives them cutting edge technology individually important to them and without compromise.”
Designer Giorgio Armani added: "The Night Effect mobile is the perfect accessory for the young, cool crowd. It looks modern and chic, glows when active, and it has been created specifically for easy management and use of music files.”
