Youths in Bahrain recently put there film making skills to the test in the ‘Film Maker challenge’ event; sponsored by Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs at the Youth Innovation Center Summer Camp “Youth City 2030”.
Four teams consisting of nine young people competed against each other in showcasing their work to the judges.
Contestants were required to produce a video about cyber safety that addresses a recent issue of online safety or online behavior in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Points were granted by a panel of judges based on understanding and awareness of cyber safety issues, creativity and innovation, video theme, quality of the final product, utilization of resources, and online promotion of the video.
A speaker and member of judge’s panel, TRA Manager of Public Relations and Media, Mr. Abdulelah Abdulla said “It’s an exciting opportunity for young people to show off their talents. It’s also a great way to spread knowledge about cyber safety issues.” Mr. Abdulla Continued. “We see ourselves continuing to engage with the youth community in Bahrain in the future, this has been a positive experience on all fronts. We offer congratulations to the winners and commend everyone for a job well done.
