Zain Jordan launches new scratch cards with a new design

Zain, part of the Zain Group, the leading mobile operator in the Middle East and Africa, launched new scratch cards with a new design that is in line with the company's objectives to adopt a more effective environmental management. The change includes all charging cards categories provided by the company to their prepaid card customers.

This step is part of a whole plan executed by Zain to support and protect the environment. The company regards environmental preservation as a national duty for all, whether individuals or institutions. This step also represents the company’s values and strategy which pays a great interest to environmental issues especially after it became one of the major challenges faced by Jordan and the world.

The new charging cards are available in all Zain points of sale around the kingdom that exceed 4200.

It is worth mentioning that Zain was awarded the ISO 14000 certificate; one of the most important international certificates in the realm of environmental systems management. The company has established a system for environmental management that encompassed a number of policies and procedures related to the environment. In addition to conducting awareness campaigns which included all of Zain's employees to strengthen their understanding of the environment. Moreover, there was a circulation of some programs on protecting the environment in all the of Zain’s departments.

Zain had previously signed an agreement with the Ministry of Environment to monitor and control the quality of water from a distance using (GRPS). The system includes thirteen field stations found in Jordan’s main water sources.

In addition to that, Zain has adopted an 80000 square meter forest located in Jarash where it worked on turning it into a model forest. This was to support national campaign for gardening launched by the association for tree protection.
