Zain, part of the Zain Group, the leading mobile operator in Middle East and Africa, hosted a grand celebration on Sunday, in celebration of the 62nd anniversary of Jordan’s Independence Day.
The day long event which took place at Al Hussein Public Parks, was part of the company’s strategy to engage in and share national celebrations with
Jordanians. The event began at 10 am with an open day at the National Children’s Museum, followed by a car show at the Royal Automobile Museum.
Zain’s celebrations began at 6 pm with a music show hosting the Jordanian singer Mahmoud El Khayyat, followed by a firework demonstration at 8 pm.
On the occasion, Zain CEO Dr. Ahmad Al Shatti said that the company is proud to be celebrating this special occasion with Jordanians for the fourth year running, enabling citizens to celebrate and express their patriotism in a festive way.
Al Shatti added that the celebration is an example of Zain’s involvement in social events that are dear to Jordanians, adding that this is part of the company’s aim to become an active player within the local community it serves.
Zain had also launched a number of initiatives that serve the most active sectors around Jordan. Being the largest mobile operator in Jordan with around 2 million subscribers, the company plays a leading role in developing the telecommunications sector. It has offered many products and services to suit customer needs and income levels, this, in addition to its developmental role in the social, intellectual, education, health youth and sports sectors.
