Orange Jordan participates in the SOFEX 2008

Orange Jordan participated and sponsored the SOFEX 2008 which was held in Marka airport with local and international participation in the field of Military services. During the exhibition, Orange displayed several of its services such as Wi-Fi Internet and even provided the whole location with this service, in addition to ADSL, Livebox and several fixed lines. Total communication services were made at hand to all visitors and exhibitors, as well as business men and reporters at the location's business center and press office, who came from all around to cover this event. For the first time in such an outdoor event, Orange supplied a complete point of sale and customer care center, which received a good feedback especially for those who wanted to purchase mobile lines, scratch cards or wanted to inquire about any of Orange unique services. Mickael Ghossein CEO of Jordan Telecom Group expressed his delight from Orange's participation: "Orange's participation in SOFEX comes from being a national and international event that receives royal patronage and for possessing a high class level, wherein it received throughout the past months a tremendous success and feedback that made of it one of the biggest and most distinguished exhibits in its field, and being a national company we aim at Orange to support such initiatives that strengthens Jordan's rank".

Sami Smeirat, Internet & Data Business Unit Chief Executive Officer said in this regard: "Being a trademark that changed the people's communication, we are proud to be part of this exhibition by providing fixed, mobile and internet solutions to a big number of participants and visitors".

He added: "Our concern in this participation comes from our commitment in being an active role locally and regionally and in line with Jordan's technical, sociable and economical development". Sofex witnessed an attendance of around 10,000 visitor, which is considered a new record of attendance, and around 300 participating company from 60 countries, in addition to around 300 member of military services from 55 country from around the world.
