Batelco launches New O-net Mobile Broadband Device

Following the success of its previous O-net device, Batelco is once again creating waves with the launch of its latest O-net product. The new lifestyle enhancing o-net device model E180, which won the Best Mobile Broadband Device award at the Asia Mobile Awards 2008, is now available through Batelco facilitating access to Batelco’s Broadband network, the fastest network in the Kingdom.

The new Huawei E180, the world’s slimmest HSPA USB stick, is aimed at satisfying more segments of customers by introducing more options at the most competitive prices, including instalment plans. The device is the ideal choice for business professionals and dynamic young customers.

"The stylish new plug & play device is more technologically advanced and supports download speed of up to 7.2 Mbps. Furthermore, the device is designed with an ultra slim rotatable USB connector, which can be turned by 270 degrees. This way, the USB connector can be stored safely without the need of an additional cover and is ideally suited for use on the go," said Batelco Group General Manager Media & Government Relations Ahmed Al Janahi.

Its built-in card slot supports up to 8GB external memory card, turning the E180 into a portable storage device for documents, music or movies, eliminating the need for an additional USB memory stick. The external memory cards are available separately," added Mr. Al Janahi.

Batelco O-net devices enable customers to browse the Internet, send and receive SMS, chat using existing instant messaging service and access business applications, all from the convenience of a laptop or PC, anywhere and anytime. Large volumes of data such as large e-mail attachments can be downloaded faster than ever before.

A variety of prepaid and postpaid packages are available for O-net Mobile Broadband.
Postpaid O-net packages include the following:-

BD10 - 1GB download capacity and 45 free SMS monthly
BD14 - 4GB download capacity and 45 free SMS monthly
BD29 - 10GB download capacity and 75 free SMS monthly
Additionally, Batelco has a special rate for students who may avail of the BD10 package at the discounted price of only BD8 per month and furthermore, there is no registration charge for students.

The new E180 O-net Mobile Broadband device is available on a 12-month instalment plan at BD4 per month.
