BD 5000 for Dreams Come True With Zain Radio Show Program Winner

An idealist's plan to set up a website that will help youngsters to research their subjects of study in terms of university majors and the different universities that offer them has scooped the Zain Dream award this month. Dr. Isa Al Khayyat was one of many listeners who called in and spoke of his dream on the "Dreams Come True With Zain" Arabic program hosted on 93.3 FM. The show which lasted for two weeks and ran every evening till just before Ramadan, showcased Zain Bahrain's popular and innovative Zain Dreams initiative which rewards dreamers with a vision to create a better society.

A panel of judges of the Zain Dream project chose Dr. Al Khayyat from the callers' dreams as to which is the most suitable winner. Dr. Al Khayyat's dream involves creating a website to allow Arab students across the region a chance to find out exactly what they wish to study, what it involves, the universities offering the course and its career opportunities. UoB students have helped Dr. Isa Al Khayat in the creation of the site's logo.

"We are delighted that the program took the concept of community service through Zain dreams to the public," said Zain Bahrain's Corporate Communications Manager, Ms. Samya Hussain, "Dr. Al Khayyat's project will undoubtedly help many young people to find the right direction in their education and careers and shape the future of our communities in the region. Zain Bahrain will support him in every way possible." The Zain Dream project which started in 2008, has empowered 11 winners so far, who have received BD 5000 each and Zain Bahrain's support to enrich society with art projects, sports projects for special needs children, a women's business forum and support for Bahraini craftspeople among others.

"At Zain Bahrain, we are proud of our strong commitment to enrich the community by living out our corporate credo of Radiance, Heart and Belonging," said Zain Bahrain's General Manager Mr. Mohammed Zainalabedin, "This is an innovative way to open new doors of service in the community." The Zain Dream project welcomes entries. Participants need to only write down their dream and drop it off at any of Zain Bahrain's 11 Experience Stores across Bahrain where special Zain Dream drop-boxes are available.
