Zain SA is awarded the International Quality Management Systems Certification ISO 9001:2008

Zain KSA has been awarded the International Quality Management Systems Certification (ISO 9001:2008) and Information Security Management Systems Certification (ISO 27001:2005), by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), the international company that specializes in classification, verification and certification processes.

“The awarding of these certificates will assure our customers that Zain operates within the international specifications and standards for information protection,” said Zain KSA CEO, Dr Saad Al Barrak, adding that awards highlighted Zain’s commitment to providing the best information protection available.
 
“Information Security Management Systems emphasize the consistency of information protection against a wide variety of threats and risks, thereby ensuring business continuity, reducing damage to a minimum, as well as enhancing the rate of return on investments and business opportunities to the maximum level,” he noted.

Ismail Fikri, Zain KSA’s operational CEO, also expressed his delight: “Zain KSA’s acquisition of these certifications represents another important step in the company’s ongoing challenge to exceed our customers’ expectations by providing products and services of truly international standards.”
 
Torkr Pardseth, DNV’s Vice President and Middle East Regional Director said that the certification reflected Zain’s tireless efforts to establish a culture that can effectively contribute to global standards development and observance, “by accepting and adopting the recommendations and proposals of the development process, and promoting mutual respect and effective communication between the company and its customers, employees and suppliers”.
